Our Payroll Administrator is responsible for TASB's payroll activities and other required reporting, and for providing accounting support to TASB's wholly-owned subsidiary, First Public.
A Typical Day
- Perform semi-monthly payroll processing
- Prepare payroll-related disbursements and perform reconciliations to vendor statements as needed
- Process weekly timekeeping
- Preparation of external reporting including, but not limited to, Department of Labor Forms 5500 and Dun & Bradstreet updates
- Assist with the annual 403b retirement plan and workers’ compensation payroll audit
- Provide 403b retirement plan recordkeeper with payroll data needed to facilitate various annual calculations
- Perform calculations of the taxable value of employee and dependent (when applicable) life insurance
- Assist Operations team by reviewing updates to ERP address book records and review of monthly reconciliation of TASB bank accounts
- Perform First Public accounting functions and preparation of monthly financial packet
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills for Success
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Three to five years directly related work experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
- Be highly ethical, responsible and dependable, with the maturity to handle confidential information
- Detail oriented, thorough, and highly organized
- Experience with HRIS system
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
