  • Program Manager, Executive Staff

    The Program Manager, Executive Staff reports to the Deputy Chief of Staff. The position performs highly responsible management work in support of a broad range of programs and services as needed for the Executive Department and the strategic goals of the organization. This position will ensure cross-departmental collaboration on day-to-day initiatives and issues that may arise amongst Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CapMetro) staff and stakeholders.
    •Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Relations, Public Administration, Government, Communications, or a related field. Related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years.
    •Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in project coordination, internal and external communications, or government affairs.
    •Experience using Microsoft Office with advanced skill in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    •Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines and workflow.
    •Understanding of basic executive support functions, such as preparing briefing books, drafting memos and other internal communications, and supporting executive team members on-site at functions and events.
    •Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
    •Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
    •Work with a diverse, collaborative and energetic workforce whose focus is to bring innovation into the industry and how we serve our customers and team members.
    •Utilize our free and reduced fare transit service to get to the office and then plan to hit the gym (for free) and work with our onsite trainers, before heading back home.
    •If you have children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years old, enroll them in the onsite award-winning Child Care and Learning Center.
