    This HR role is essential to the success of the HR's talent management function. If you are looking for a role that will teach you about candidate relationship building, organization management, partnering with recruiters, managers, and employees while giving you the sense of accomplishment that comes from sharing good news then this is the role for you. You will provide general support and assist in coordination of enterprise-wide recruiting, onboarding, and learning & development functions and strategies. What does that mean? Mainly, it means you get to be the one that informs candidates they have been cleared, are ready to start, and provide them details of their first day. You will also help employees sign up for classes and further their professional development. Another plus!

    What you will do:
    Primary recruiting responsibilities include:
    -Execute the recruiting & onboarding tasks from when a background check begins until candidate start date, including tracking down employment verification details, handling the adverse action process, rescinding offers, communicating first day details, managing pre-employment screenings etc.
    -Complete all new hire paperwork, help with badges, and provide ad hoc support to the new employee orientation facilitator.
    -Register for and help with preparation for job fairs, school and/or other recruiting events.
    -Support the summer intern program.

    Primary learning and development responsibilities include:
    -Assist with the administration of internal and external professional development programs as well as meeting and program logistics. This includes scheduling, booking, and coordinating meeting room set-up, preparing materials, and trouble-shooting basic issues.
    -Schedule sessions, training dates, and maintain rosters in our Learning Management System (LMS).
    -Serve as the main point of contact for LMS questions related to HR courses.

    What qualifications you must have:
    - Four or more years of experience in human resources.
    - A degree(s) in human resource management, business or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.  
    - Driver's license

    What qualifications it would be nice for you to have:
    - Degree in human resource management, business administration or relevant field
    - HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
    - Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts and effectively coach both managers and employees
    - Experience leading HR programs
    - Experience using PeopleSoft
