  • Program Manager, Construction Safety

    WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    The Program Manager, Construction Safety reports directly to the Director, Safety. This position will oversee the construction safety program and onsite operations for Capital Metro. This role will support project activities including heavy civil, steel erection, electrical and mechanical systems, and equipment and tooling installation for contractors and the Capital Metro internal construction group.
     
    WHAT YOU BRING
    •Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Safety, Transportation, or related field.  Related experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years.
    •Five (5) years demonstrated experience working on major construction projects in the field of safety.
    •CSP, CHST or other globally recognized accredited certification in EHS.
    •OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required.
    •Experience in contractor construction safety programs and site management.
    •Must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license or have ability to obtain upon hire.
     
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    •Thorough knowledge of CFR 1910 and CFR 1926.
    •Working knowledge of OSHA, UBC, ISO, ANSI, and NFPA.
    •Excellent written, oral, facilitation, coordination and interpersonal communication skills.
    •Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, and mentorship skills.
    •Ability to analyze, interpret, summarize, communicate, and act on quantitative and qualitative data.
    •Demonstrated positive experience managing large, complex projects in large corporate environment.
    •Self-motivated and able to work independently.
    •Demonstrated ability to interface and coordinate with stakeholders, including division and department management, supervision and labor as well as regulators, vendors and contractors.
    •Ability to work alongside field management to ensure a safe and efficient project.
    •Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

    SALARY RANGE - 79,619.00 - 99,524.00 – ANNUALLY
