  • Quality Assurance Specialist II, Building Equipment (HVAC Emphasis)

    WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
    The Quality Assurance Specialist II, Building Equipment, reports directly to the Coordinator, Quality Assurance-Building Maintenance. This position is responsible for building and equipment projects, along with assisting in the oversight of contractors at all maintenance/office facilities.
    WHAT YOU BRING
    •HVAC and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) associates degree preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis for up to four years.
    •HVAC Class B license required. HVAC Class A license and North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certificate preferred.
    •Certification in Project Management, Environment, and Regulatory, preferred.
    •Five (5) years of HVAC and BAS equipment replacements, repair, and system troubleshooting required. Technical, troubleshooting, and repair experience with industrial, technical, and electrical equipment preferred.
    •Three (3) years of proven project management including specifications and requisitions for large and small equipment replacements.
    •Certification in refrigerants per EPA Section 608, 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F.
    •Experience with HVAC system commissioning and retro-commissioning preferred.
    •Experience with Industrial and Commercial equipment, preferred. Journeyman Trades status related to Industrial or heavy commercial will substitute for above experience in the industrial field.
    •Other professional license in commercial trades, preferred.
     
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    •Advanced knowledge in and experience with HVAC system repairs and troubleshooting.
    •Knowledge in mechanical/plumbing repairs and electrical systems including both AC and DC voltage from low voltage to 480 volts.
    •Extensive knowledge of Industrial Systems and components.
    •Experienced use of Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, web-based programs and other related software.
    •Skill in writing technical specifications, reading blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
    •Knowledge is required for commercial property management, commercial building, and equipment
    •Ability in equipment purchasing, specifications and research analysis.
    •Knowledge of Environmental regulations and Sustainability programs and Asset Management practices.
    •Detail oriented and professional team player with excellent customer relations-oriented skills and communication skills that transfer to positive working relationships with clients, co-workers, tenants, contractors, and vendors.
