  • Intern, Compensation and Benefits


    The Compensation and Benefits Intern will assist the Compensation and Benefits group in reviewing and updating the agency’s job descriptions. Review the SharePoint folders for Benefits and Retirement and Compensation to ensure the files for storing historical information for the Compensation and Benefits Team. Work with the Marketing Team to share additional information on the CapMetro Central website for Compensation and Benefits for improving transparency.



    • Work with compensation and benefits team on projects related to job descriptions, compensation plans, benefit open enrollment preparation and compensation-benefit related programs.
    • Work with the Compensation Administrator to review and update all current job descriptions including the new grade structure, branding, and other required statements. 
    • Review the current processes for maintaining compensation and benefit folders in SharePoint for ensuring the files are easily accessible and stored correctly for retention purposes. 
    • Recommend changes for standardizing specific forms and naming conventions for files.
    • Assist with benefit and compensation auditing for biweekly payrolls.
    • Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by following safety and security policies, considering safety in every action and reporting safety and security concerns.? 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 



    • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with a major in Human Resource Management, business or other related field. 
    • Experience in understanding compensation, benefit and retirement programs
    • Experience in the use of HCM systems or similar systems.
